On April 19th Jonny was spotted out and about with Michele Hicks in L.A., jonnyleemiller.org brought the papparazzi video footage of the sighting to my attention. It is quite hilarious. Here's the link: Cheers Mate! Jonny looks as though he's coloured his hair black, probably for SMITH. There's one pic up in the gallery

Jonny Lee Miller is one among a handful of actors to have their portraits (done by the artist Stuart Pearson Wright) recently added to the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Looks as though Jonny has dropped out of the Marathon DeSables that is to take place this month. Sources say it is due to contractual obligations what with his new movie "Marathon" and possibly additional filming of SMITH.

got a little tid bit through the grapevine today about some new shows in development...

SMITH (CBS, New!) - Uber-producer John Wells ("ER," "The West Wing") has booked a pilot order at the Eye for a new drama about the inner workings of a team of criminals. Ray Liotta ("ER"), Virginia Madsen ("Sideways"), Amy Smart ("Road Trip"), Franky G. ("Jonny Zero") and Jonny Lee Miller ("Aeon Flux") have already been cast in the project, which has a significant penalty attached if it isn't ordered to series. Liotta will play Bobby with Madsen as Hope, Smart as Annie, G. as Joe and Miller as an unspecified character. Full character details however weren't released. Warner Bros. Television and John Wells Productions are behind the hour, which "ER" veteran Christopher Chulack (who helmed Liotta's Emmy-winning "ER" guest spot) will direct from a script by Wells.

Flux didn't fair too well at the box office, and reviews have been kind of crummy, but it doesn't matter, Jonny's in it and I support it regardless.

LEG WORK HAS MILLER IN A SPIN

CYCLING hero Graeme Obree has told how Jonny Lee Miller didn't have the legs to play him in his life story. Obree, 32, was thrilled when Trainspotting star Miller agreed to portray him in £3million biopic The Flying Scotsman. But the former 4000-metre world champion yesterday revealed he's the one showing the pedal power on camera. Obree said: "I'm the legs in the movie but Jonny did well - he used to be a cyclist. "The film was a great experience and the scale of the thing was amazing. It's great to have a film made about your life and it's going to look really good." Obree, from Irvine, Ayrshire, rose to fame by setting a world hour-record on a bike he made from a washing machine. He's also battled through depression, a suicide attempt and serious injury. But the Scot has come out of retirement in a bid to make next year's Commonwealth Games. He said: "This is my last chance. The preparation and resolve are in place."
Speaking in Aberdeen, Obree added "It's great to spread my own brand of motivational thinking to other people. "Folk in Scotland are very negative - hopefully I can do something about that."

Multisport: Inaugural London Duathlon Off To A Flying Start With Nearly 2000 Celebrities And Fun Runners Taking Part Making It The UK'sS Largest Duathlon

Saturday September 17, Richmond Park, London - Thousands of spectators turned up at Richmond Park today to cheer on nearly 2,000 celebrities and fun runners in the glorious sunshine at the first ever London Duathlon.

The first celebrity on the course was big screen star Johnny Lee Miller who, preparing for the gruelling Marathon des Sable completed the full distance of 10km run, 20km cycle and 5km run in a very impressive 1hr 53 minutes.

Also taking part to raise money for event charity Maggie¹s Centres was a team of fourteen from Sky TV¹s Soccer AM. Led by presenter Tim Lovejoy with co-presenter Helen Chamberlain cheering from the sidelines the boys raced straight after a live broadcast in the studio straight to the start line dressed in running kit and football shirts.

The Soccer AM team put in an impressive performance with Producer Neil Smythe (1:02:38) winning the internal Soccer AM challenge and placing third out off all Œfun¹ distance (5km run, 10km cycle, 5km run) competitors at the event. Tim Lovejoy (1:12:52) placed an impressive second in the Soccer AM team and 50th overall.

The London Duathlon took place entirely within Richmond Park with both individual athletes and teams participating. Roads were closed to cars for the event, allowing competitors to achieve record times while taking in the stunning surroundings of the Royal Park.

The London Triathlon Ltd., owners of The Michelob ULTRA London Triathlon the world¹s largest and the stunning Blenheim Triathlon, created The London Duathlon to keep up with the massive growth of the sport while maintaining the objective of creating top class events that are achievable by everyone.

Event Director Nick Rusling commented: "The London Duathlon has been a huge success and Richmond Park was the ideal venue. We are confident that the event has raised over £100,000 for charity and nearly 2,000 people have had a great day, many taking the plunge into the UK¹s fastest growing sport for the first time. Yes I'm posting this because, well, I found it funny. It's good to know that I'm not alone in obsessing over TV boxed sets.

Miller's West Wing Fixation

British actor Jonny Lee Miller is such a huge fan of The West Wing, he's starting to believe the stars of the hit drama are his best pals.
The Trainspotting star, ex-husband of Angelina Jolie, recently spent three months continuously watching the show, and it's become a huge part of his life.
He says, "I like getting boxed sets of TV Shows and just sitting and watching the whole series. I was working in Germany and I watched four seasons of The West Wing in three months.
"I was obsessed with it, and I feel like they are all my friends, like I know them intimately.
"I'm (now) watching 24, because when I finished watching The West Wing my world fell apart. I had nothing left."

Law hits pub for drinks with Pals.

"Actor Jude Law... enjoyed afternoon drinks in Glasgow with star pals Jonny Lee Miller and local boy Billy Boyd.

The trio met up at trendy McPhabb's, in Sauchiehall Street.

Looking relaxed as he left the bar, Law said he was in Glasgow for the day visiting friends. He rounded off his stay by spending last night at luxury hotel One Devonshire Gardens in the west end.

The Alfie star recently admitted being unfaithful to fiance Sienna Miller, his co-star in the film about a love rat.

Lord of the Rings actor Boyd still lives in Glasgow, while Trainspotting star Miller is in the city filming his latest flick, The Flying Scotsman, about Scots cycling champion Graeme Obree. The movie also stars Laura Fraser and Brian Cox and charts the story of Obree's amazing rise to the top of the cycling ranks on a home-made bike, as well as his battle with mental illness."

So I forgot to post another little tidbit about Jonny and "The Flying Scotsman" role. He's really putting all of himself into it, and I say way to go Jonny.

Miller's 'Extreme Approach' to latest role

Jonny Lee Miller shocked co-star Brian Cox with the gruelling fitness regime he has imposed on himself to take on the role of a cycling legend.

The veteran British actor believes the 32-year-old need to play cycling legend GRAEME OBREE in THE FLYING SCOTSMAN as authentically as possible has seen him adopt a training regime usually only seen in sports professionals.

Cox says, "I often see him out of the car window when I'm driving to the set, and cheer him on.

"He's started riding Graeme Obree's bicycle too, which is partly made out of old washing machine parts.

"That Jonny's a strange lad. No one's making him do it - he just seems to be very enthusiastic."

At comic con, the cast panel consisted of Aeon Flux Creator Peter Chung, Producers David Gale and Gale Ann Hurd, Director Karyn Kusama, and actors Marton Csokas and Charlize Theron.

I think I'll skip most of the interview and just go to the sections that pertain to mr. sexy JLM himself...because the rest of it can just be considered praising of Peter and Karyn, and how the actors felt about the project and their characters.

"...Fan Question #6: Since you have covered the costume and hair being changed I was wondering to the director and Peter Chung why you didn’t chose Jonny Lee Miller for Trevor instead of Oren? [audience reacts] Hey, Jonny’s not here to answer…

Yes it is true, they've continued with the making of this film, which was put on hold back in 2002. Jonny will be starring alongside such actors as Billy Boyd, Brian Cox and Bob Hoskins.

here's some tidbits I received in the past weeks:

"Filming has again started on the 'The Flying Scotsman', a £3.3m biopic about Graeme Obree. Trainspotting-star Jonny Lee Miller, Steven Berkoff and Bob Hoskins were due to start filming the pro-bike Scot-flick in the autumn of 2002 but just days before the cameras started rolling the American co-producer keeled over and died, leaving a hole in the movie's budget, killing it."

Flying Scotsman moves up a gear

"IT WAS lights... camera... action in Galston on Monday when a film crew came to town to record scenes for ‘The Flying Scotsman’ — a film about the celebrated Scottish cyclist Graeme Obree.

Jonny Lee Miller, who is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Sick Boy in ‘Trainspotting’, will play Obree in the film, which is scheduled for release in 2006.

Set in the west of Scotland, and with velodrome scenes to be shot in Germany, the film tells the remarkable true story of the Ayrshire-born former world champion. Graeme broke the world one-hour record on a bike of his own revolutionary design, which he partly constructed out of sections of a washing machine.

Although a funny and inspirational script, Graeme’s brave battle with mental health problems is also part of the story.

“We have a wonderful cast and crew, and a director who is absolutely determined to give Graeme’s story the treatment it deserves.”

A frequent visitor to the set, and an advisor to the film, Graeme is delighted that his story is going to make the big screen.
Graeme told The Kilmarnock Standard: “I can’t believe the scale and complexity of making a film.
“It’s astonishing to think that, without realising it, I started all this.” After breaking the world record in 1993, Obree became the World Pursuit Champion. Graeme’s condition was the result of the vicious and systematic bullying he received as the local policeman’s son in a small Ayrshire town.
This abuse drove Obree to the depths of despair throughout his adult life, and his career, and even took him to the brink of suicide on several occasions. ‘The Flying Scotsman’ depicts the extreme lows of Graeme’s internal battles, which contrast dramatically with the intense euphoria of his victories.

The sexy men in London gathered together in London recently for a private film screening.

Train spotting actor Jonny Lee Miller and ex- husband of Angelina Jolie invited his friends to his favourite film "Singing in the rain". Miler organised the event to raise funds to help preserve classic films.

The event was in aid of Miller looked dashing in a pale Paul Smith suit with stripey green tie at the Electric cinema in Notting Hill. Actor Jude Law wore a tee-shirt with a pin striped jacket as he posed with Miller.

Other celebrities who attended were Blur front man Damon Alburn in a bright coloured pink shit and actor Damian Lewis.

Lewis looked casual and relaxed in an open necked white shirt. It was a men only affair with no wives or girlfriends around.

According to reports, they were all on their best behaviour and acted like perfect gentleman sipping cocktails.

So I was looking around to see if any news about the trailer came out since comic con, and I found a little tidbit. Charlize was on extra and they showed some behind the scenes footage... sadly, no jonny sightings in the vid.

With a wild new do and a sexy skin-tight suit, Charlize Theron is waging war against an evil regime in her new movie, and "Extra's" got your first look at her new sci-fi thriller "Aeon Flux."

Based on the MTV cartoon, the futuristic film was featured at the big comic book convention, Comicon, in San Diego over the weekend where "Extra" caught up with the stunning Oscar winner.

So what can fans expect from Theron's new flick? "It's going to be hot, baby," the actress promised. "It sounds so cliché, but it's a smart action film, it really is. I almost broke my neck for it, so it's incredible action, really good action."

But just how serious was Theron's injury? "Well, I slipped doing a backhand spring," Theron revealed. "I landed with all my body weight on my neck, and I herniated a disk in my neck. And it kind of got close to my spinal cord."

The freak accident, which made headlines around the world, happened while on location in Germany. And just ten days into shooting, production ground to a halt. Charlize returned to her home in Malibu, where worried doctors put her through rehab. "Physiotherapy and cortisone treatments and all that fun stuff," she said. "I realize I was very lucky."

Incredibly, just eight weeks after her life-threatening fall, she was back on the "Aeon Flux" set and back in her sexy black suit, although she admitted, "In the cartoon, the characters wore a G-string and two tussles. I couldn't do that."

Yeah so I haven't updated in a couple of days, mostly due to the fact that my computer has been ill and a pain in the butt to deal with, and also because I'm trying to update my photo galleries and delete some junk off the main site. (it will all be fixed within the week)

Jonny attended the Motorola Grand Classics Screening (he hosted) of his favourite film "Singin' In The Rain" at the Electric Cinema on July 11, 2005 in London, England. Many of his buddies attended, ie. Jude, Damian Lewis, I think someone mentioned Sean was there as well. Oooh and James Purefoy was there ... hotness, but packing on the pounds for another movie i guess.

EWAN McGREGOR used to dread hangovers when he lived with pals JUDE LAW and JONNY LEE MILLER in London, because they were such cheerful drunks.

The Scottish actor shared a home with the pair when they were all struggling actors looking for regular work - and he hated the fact that they could pay bills and vacuum with hangovers while he struggled to get out of bed.

He recalls, "They were both quite neat. We used to get trashed on the weekends, and I remember to my dismay getting up with a terrible hangover many times and they'd be vacuuming, dusting, cleaning.

"Or they'd be whistling around the house while they paid bills. It's depressing when you're in that state and others are on top of it."

I would just like to take a minute to express that thoughts and prayers around the world are with all of those in London in the wake of this horrible tragedy.

Congratulations goes out to Angelina Jolie on adopting a second child, a baby girl from Ethiopia!

..Jolie visited the Horn of Africa nation last week to file her adoption request...
"The paperwork has gone through. Miss Angelina's request was accepted last week," Hadosh Halefom, head of the country's state-run adoption agency, told The Associated Press.
The child "is less than a year old," Hadosh said, refusing to elaborate. The actress filed her request through a private adoption agency.

"If people's paperwork is in order, it can take only two days to finalize everything," Hadosh said.
In a posting on People magazine's Web site, Jolie is quoted as saying the child's name is Zahara Marley Jolie and that she and Maddox are "very happy to have a new addition to our family."
The twice-divorced Jolie has often talked of adopting a second child.

Hadosh said Jolie had met the 10 conditions for adopting a child from Ethiopia.

"The two most important are economic capabilities and check with the police," Hadosh said. "Although she is a film star, she still has to meet the same requirements as everybody else."
Ethiopia, a country of 70 million, has more than 5 million orphans, their parents lost to famine, disease, war and AIDS — a catastrophe the government has said is "tearing apart the social fabric" of the east African nation.

Caring for the orphans costs $115 million a month in a country whose annual health budget is only $140 million.

Because of that, Ethiopia has gone out of its way to make adoption easier.
In 2003, a record 1,400 children were adopted from abroad, more than double the number in the previous year. The number of private adoption agencies in Addis Ababa, the capital, has doubled in the past year to 30.

Ethiopia has strict laws to thwart dubious adoption agents and to ensure that the orphan really exists, that the paperwork is not fraudulent and that no AIDS-infected children are being passed off as healthy.

Agencies charge fees of around $20,000 per child, a relatively inexpensive fee compared to many other countries.

now don't get me wrong I love the fact that this sexy beast is out of the crazy @$$ celebrity spotlight (ie paparazzi privacy violators) that other actors and celebs endure on a daily basis, but it would be nice to hear more about him and what he's working on (if he's doing anything at all...another marathon maybe?)

ok really what I want is the Aeon trailer, I'll admit it... I WANT TO SEE IT. I have this feeling that they're gonna push back the release on this film again and we won't get it till like December. MTV and Paramount wake up!

Jonny's not blonde... he's more of light to mid brown... the last time I saw him as blonde blonde was Hackers time. early 90's.

I mean here's (above)the most recent snap shots of him... attending the opening night of "As you like it" at Wyndham's Theatre, starring his best friend's (Jude) future wife (Sienna Miller), respectfully of course.

This does not look like pitt's new doo... while jonny has weedwackered some of his beard off, he's still sporting a mustache a huge proportions... and that first picture has vintage trucker honking the horn, written all over it. But damn the man is still fine, and too cute!

note to newspapers... do not compare pretty boy Brad, with sexy Man Jonny...ever again...it's just not right.

After a week I've finally got my internet working again, stupid internet/cable providers! I swear just when you need to use the net or do things of importance on it, someone decides, 'hey let's pull the plug on this block today! yay!' talk about driving me nuts.

Anyway, I've pondered what to post about with regards to jonny, and I figure, why not his next film Aeon Flux. I must admit I'm rather looking forward to this movie, which is expected to come out some time in September 2005. He plays Oren Goodchild, brother to the head cheese Trevor who is also Aeon's (Charlize Theron) love interest. I take this to mean that Oren is the bad guy, and frankly Jonny makes one hot bad guy!

The Aeon Flux website looks pretty good, minus anything of any actual substance... I mean this is basically all you get...

an intro with funky music, and one huge head shot of Charlize, little bubbles of snipit info, a wallpaper and an icon, and a trailer for the video game... I would have liked a trailer of the movie but sadly one is not available yet.

Regardless, here's to seeing more stuff soon... publicity with jonny included of course.
